In conjunction with SG50, The Successor is a variety program dedicated to the unsung heroes behind Singaporean’s favorite local handmade food. While the whole nation is celebrating our nation’s 50th birthday and the milestones that we have achieved, we shall not forget the local foods which have accompanied us for 50 years or more. The Successor aims to showcase the hardship behind our local delights and to emphasize the importance of skill & spirit in keeping the traditional good taste. In order to keep the food heritage alive for numerous 50 years to come, two apprentices will be trained under the Masters, each week, to learn how to make the food the traditional way ! Will they have the determination and talent to survive the training and get approval to continue their journey as a “Hawkerpreneur” ?
