The Green Volunteer: Mr. Grant Pereira founded The Green Volunteer, and has since been organizing voluntary cleanups of mangroves and reforestation projects that reintroduce trees and shrubs back into the original spaces. This 14 years old group currently have 5000 volunteers who are all walks of life, ranging from school children to retirees. GreenCircle Eco- Farm: Husband and wife, Evelyn Eng and Kim Tian Soo is the founder of Green Circle Eco- Farm, shares the importance of having the retreat of a farm growing organic greens and the natural life cycle of all living things. They encourage consumer to ask questions on what do they really eat. The Plant Story: Singaporean are constantly surrounded by concrete and steel, and often detached from nature. Cath Lim of The Plant Story was inspired by nature and fueled by design decided to bring nature into our concrete jungle. She wish to spread the peace and tranquility of nature and gardening in the lives of busy urbanites. Gardenasia: Gardenasia, a nature- inspired events company that wants to bring people closer to nature by influencing the lifestyle of these city- dwellers. From events to workshops to farm stays, Kenny Eng, Director of Gardenasia share with us how they incorporate nature into the lifestyles of new generation. The Green Corridor Scheme: Being in land scarce Singapore, a group of people still believes in the importance of nature conservation and heritage preservation. The Green Corridor proposal, submitted by Nature Society Singapore has a goal to preserve all railway land which will serve as a green space in Singapore as well as a heritage site.
